I've been looking for a while now to a way to overclock CPU am my Lenovo G575 - 20081 laptop, and i've tried a lot of OC programs but none of them worked.Īfter i modified CPU multiplier, somehow, FSB decreased to that necessary level and the CPU frequency remain unchanged!!!ĭo not get my wrong, i do not want to overclock this laptop very much, but to a level that will permit internet browsing to be a decent experience, without framing or lagging while is loading pages. The eMachine website has a BIOS update for the ET1331g which uses the same MB, while Gateway's site has nothing for my GT5662. Mine is Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG, My search has concluded that I should be able to put an AMD Athlon II x4 645 as a few other people have been able to do it. I am attempting to upgrade the CPU on my Gateway GT5662.
